In the 1970s our family made its residence in the farm house at Cosona. Our grandmother, Minina, decided to respond to the ever growing demand of foreign visitors looking for peaceful lodgings for relaxing and painting the landscape.

The first lodging used for this purpose was Casa Leoncini, so called after the family who had lived there and left it for different life styles in the neighbouring towns due to the decline of the sharecropping system that had been in use up until that time. The second lodging was Il Poggiolo which had been adapted for the numerous French family which today still return to Cosona, summer after summer, with new generations of children and grandchildren. The lodgings progressively restored with the loving care of our grandmother have become seven and today we are managing  all of them.

Ilaria Bichi Ruspoli

I have had the privilege of growing up among Pienza, Montepulciano and Siena, unique towns full of history, art and above all natural beauty which have become for me the basis  for a true profession. I work as a tour guide in the province and will be more than happy to make suggestions and guide you personally in the discovery of the numerous treasures of my territory.

Vittoria Bichi Ruspoli

I spent my childhood and adolescence at Cosona. My passions for literature and writing were inspired by it.  I graduated in liberal arts in Rome and combined my communicative and friendly disposition to my attitude for public relations. I am willing to fulfill your curiosities and welcome you to our apartments and if you wish fill you in on our traditions.

Niccolò Punzo

Unlike my cousins I have never lived in Cosona.  I spent my childhood and adolescence around the world learning foreign languages and about other cultures. I studied philosophy in Rome and moved to Milan where I worked in communications and public relations. Cosona has always been for me a retreat, a place to contemplate where time stands still. I can assure visitors that compared to all the places visited on the globe  this corner of Tuscany stands out for its beauty and peacefulness.
